The Bible teaches that people can have a real relationship with God and receive eternal life. This does not come through human effort, good works, or religious activity, but through the salvation God has provided in Jesus Christ.
Here is the good news that the Bible clearly teaches.
God created the world and everything in it, including us. He created us to know Him, worship Him, and live in fellowship with Him.
God is perfectly holy, righteous, and good.
“Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”
— Isaiah 6:3 (KJV)
The Bible teaches that every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s perfect standard.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
— Romans 3:23 (KJV)
Because God is holy and just, sin brings judgment.
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
— Romans 6:23 (KJV)
No one can remove their sin or save themselves through good works, religion, or personal effort.
Because of His love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world.
Jesus lived a perfect and sinless life. He died on the cross to bear the punishment for sin, and on the third day He rose from the dead, conquering sin and death.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8 (KJV)
The Bible calls people to repent of their sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
Repentance means turning away from sin and turning to God. Faith means trusting that Jesus died and rose again to save you, and receiving Him as Lord.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
— Romans 10:9 (KJV)
Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, not something we earn.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
— Ephesians 2:8 (KJV)
When someone truly repents and believes in Jesus Christ, God forgives their sins and gives them new life.
They become a child of God and begin to grow in their relationship with Him.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”
— John 1:12 (KJV)
Those who follow Christ continue to grow through learning God’s Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers in the church.
If you desire to know Jesus, you can come to God in prayer—acknowledging your sin, turning from it, and trusting in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord.
God promises that those who come to Him will not be turned away.
“Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”
— John 6:37 (KJV)
